Your kitchen is the heart of your home so a practical design, quality and performance are as important as style and appearance. Every Contur Kitchen is built to order to our client’s precise requirements, and manufactured to exacting standards in our factory in Herrieden, Bavaria.
Contur kitchens are exclusive to Schmid German Kitchens in the UK. We commission one of the highest quality German manufacturers to produce our kitchens. Our manufacturer is a family business established in 1966 and now produces over 150,000 kitchens each year for clients all over Europe. Contur Kitchens and made on a state of the art production line and every item is checked rigorously before it leaves the factory.
Contur kitchens are available in a huge range of styles and finishes. Our popular handleless German kitchens have no visible handle elements on the kitchen fronts. This gives our handleless kitchens an elegant and modern look. German handleless kitchens normally have an aluminium grip ledge that is available in a range of colours to match your kitchen fronts. We can also supply kitchens with the Tip-On single touch opening system which does not require a grip ledge. Simply touch the cupboard door or drawer to provide easy access to cabinet interiors.
If you prefer handles, Contur have a selection in stainless steel, chrome, nickel, acrylic or combination colours. You can even have slim line grip ledge style handles for a handleless look.
A Contur Kitchen will not not only be designed and made to a high specification. It will also be reliable, practical and give excellent performance for many years to come.

COLOURS AND FINISHES
We have an incredible choice of styles and materials in our range so you can design a kitchen to perfectly match your home.
Our German kitchen front range includes simple laminate fronts, coloured lacquers, glass and real wood veneers. You can combine different finishes and colours to create a unique design.
We also have a huge choice of kitchen worktops to complement your kitchen design including laminate, quartz, stainless steel Hi-Macs and Corian.
QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE
It’s easy to see the quality of our Contur German kitchens on the outside. However many aspects of the high quality workmanship are hidden within our units. It's these details that make our kitchens strong and durable.
For example our heavy load drawers are double walled for strength and can carry up to 70kg. Our base units are 780mm high as standard for extra capacity. Our shelves are 19mm thick to take heavy loads and reinforce our cabinets.
All our units are built to a high specification with real wood reinforcement to ensure they perform well in even the busiest kitchens.

A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING!
The Contur German kitchen unit range includes pull-out shelves, integrated drawers, tiered pull-out larders, bottle storage and much more. Our pull-out mechanisms in tall and low cabinets, mean pasta, tinned food and other items can be perfectly stored away.
Our wall kitchen units can have simple doors, pivot doors or upward folding doors.
Drawers and cupboards can have integrated LED lighting, electric openers and waste sort bins – almost everything is possible!
DESIGN PERFECTION
The Contur kitchen unit system allows us to create designs that perfectly combine form and function. On the outside our elegant kitchens have simple clean lines and coordinated colours and finishes. Inside our kitchen units there are high quality accessories and mechanisms that make our kitchens a pleasure to use.
To design a kitchen that perfectly fits your home we have a flexible cupboard system with units in many different sizes. We can even customise cupboards for difficult spaces.
We can incorporate drawers into almost any kitchen unit. Special design elements for the interior of our drawers make space for all your cooking utensils and cutlery. We have a range of cutlery inserts and box storage systems for other items. Our drawer accessories are available in an attractive dark grey finish or in real oak if you prefer.
